Halal meat suppliers in Thailand

Thailand has a robust halal meat supply chain anchored by CICOT-certified processors. Major chains like CP Foods, Betagro, and Saha Farms run halal-certified production lines alongside their conventional operations. For retail, Foodland (Sukhumvit branch and a few others) stocks halal-section meat; Big C and Lotus have halal-tagged frozen sections. Restaurant supply runs through wholesalers like Makro (cash-and-carry) and direct distribution from the processors.

CP Foods (Charoen Pokphand) — chicken, processed meats, sausages. Betagro — chicken, beef, pork (separate halal line). Saha Farms — chicken, duck. All maintain CICOT certification on the halal production line, with separate facilities and audited supply chains.

Foodland (Sukhumvit Soi 5) has a dedicated halal section. Big C and Lotus tag halal frozen poultry. Tops Supermarket runs halal-section in select branches (Asok, EmQuartier). For full halal grocery (not just meat), Indra Square's surrounding shops carry imported halal goods, spices, and frozen items.

Makro (cash-and-carry wholesale) carries CICOT-certified bulk meat. Direct supply from CP/Betagro requires a wholesale account. Smaller halal restaurants often source from family-run butchers in Bangkok's muslim neighborhoods — Indra Square, Phra Khanong, Bang Rak all have halal butchers.

Thai halal-certified chicken is a major export to GCC, Malaysia, and Indonesia. CP Foods alone exports several hundred thousand tonnes of halal chicken annually. This means the underlying supply chain is built for international halal compliance — the rigor is high.
